In order to boldly launch their new web presence, Initiatives Prince George enlisted the services of Floatingrock.com to produce a dynamic application that would conveniently manage and integrate over 250 pages of content across their family of five initial websites.  Sites have been developed to represent Initiatives Corporate, and four main operational divisions: Business, Events, Film and Tourism.

Billed as Serenity 4, recent developmental advances made to Floatingrock’s proprietary Serentity information management system have been integrated to provide IPG with unsurpassed flexibility and performance.  Never before has the web environment seen an application and information management system that compares with this release of Serenity.

Consisting of Active Server Pages (ASP), .NET (ASPX) coding, and Extensible Markup Language (XML) technologies, Serenity 4 has once again raised the bar for web based information and data management solutions.  The XML based navigational system provides infinite levels of page nesting, ordering and grouping, while independently managed components have been redesigned so they can be flexibly associated with any page.

In addition to the upgrades within the Serenity framework, the latest version of Serenity’s HTML editor boasts a new range of options, including single-step linking to any page within the Initiatives’ sites, one step linking for file downloads, an MS-Word document cleaner, and an optimized image uploader with dynamic thumbnailing abilities.

Initiatives Prince George now has the online presence and content control to really begin promoting the full range of the City's opportunities and amenities.
